Senior Associate Scientist, Immunology / Oncology Pharmacology

Summary

We seek a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Associate Scientist with a strong background in translational immunology / cancer biology and experience developing in vivo models to support preclinical small molecule drug discovery and biomarker discovery. The ideal candidate is an individual that enjoys a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to support project goals and objectives.


Responsibilities: 

  • Design and execution of in vivo pharmacology studies to support Neomorph programs
  • Support preclinical discovery and characterization of small molecule drugs in the protein degradation space
  • Plan, implement, and manage internal and external resources for the advancement of projects
  • Evaluate data, prepare reports and present findings in internal and external settings
  • Provide scientific expertise and enable projects geared toward oncology, autoimmunity, inflammation, and allergy


Required Qualifications: 

  • BS Immunology, Cancer Biology or related field with 8+ years of relevant work experience or MS with 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with animal models, including: autoimmunity, inflammation, allergy, and oncology (xenograft, syngeneic)
  • Expertise in the following techniques: cell culture, cell isolation, basic molecular biology (qPCR, Western blotting), animal dosing, necropsy, primary immune cell assays and flow cytometry
  • Experience in supporting drug discovery teams with timely and robust data packages
  • Excellent capabilities in critical thinking and problem solving; able to design, efficiently execute and troubleshoot experiments in the lab
  • Ability to follow novel scientific or technological developments and to implement them in the laboratory


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in advancing small molecule drug discovery projects in the targeted protein degradation space
  • Experience with in vivo/ex vivo assessment of immune cell function
