Neomorph is seeking an experienced associate scientist with a passion for drug discovery and extensive experience with BSL2/2+ practices and routine molecular and cell biology techniques. The role will be critically involved in supporting Neomorph's internal pipeline through contributions to both target identification and validation efforts, as well as by enabling decision-making through the generation of robust data packages. The successful applicant will be an integral member of project teams and will be responsible for communicating broadly across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Profile the biological activities of lead compounds in relevant cellular models/assays.

Assess glue degrader mechanism of action using established assays.

Elucidate biological mechanisms of action that confer pharmacodynamic effects of lead compounds.

Delineate mechanisms of sensitivity and resistance using chemical and genetic approaches to define desired compound profiles.

Support molecular and cell biology platforms for target identification and validation through plasmid cloning and cell line engineering.

Analyze and document experimental results using Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism, and other applicable data systems.

Communicate results and solicit effective input and feedback in a variety of internal settings.

Required Qualifications

• MS with 5+ years, or BS with 8+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency with routine cell and molecular biology techniques including tissue culture, immunofluorescence, qRT-PCR, western blotting, and ELISA.
• Proficiency with BSL2/BSL2+ practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with cell-based assay development, optimization, data analysis, and troubleshooting, including plate-based high-throughput readouts (e.g., luminescence, fluorescence).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Desire and capacity to participate in a dynamic and fast-paced research setting.
• Self-motivation and flexibility, with desire and capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with targeted protein degradation.
• Experience with cell line engineering strategies (RNAi, CRISPR, lentiviral transduction).
• Experience with contemporary plasmid cloning techniques.
• Experience with HTS-enabling technologies (e.g., liquid handlers, compound dispensers).
